May 20, Matt rated it it was amazing. Can I give this 6 stars out of 5? For anyone who needs to use antennas as electromganetic of their processing chain, this is a great reference.
It’s one of the few modern references that have the complete dipole solution in both the near and far regions, and it nicely couples in transmission line theory into the process of understanding how to get electromagnetic energy out of the ether into your device.
I’m not sure where else you’d get this kind of coverage, Silver’s book on Microwave Antenna design perhap Can I give this 6 stars out of 5? I’m not sure where else you’d get this kind of coverage, Silver’s book on Microwave Antenna design perhaps? But that book is rather sophoclds.

Orfanidis doesn’t shy away from using Green’s functions to aid in the solution of various Emag problems either, which I think simplifies the discussion, especially for problems with spherical symmetry. The book has a topic depth that I have rarely seen in these sorts of endeavors, and antenhas me a bit of John Jackson’s Classical Electrodynamics, but with a more modern focus on antenna systems.
Best of all, at least currently, the book can be downloaded for free.
