Initial demonstration of laboratory capability followed by regular analyses of laboratory reagent blanks LRBslaboratory fortified blanks LFBsand laboratory fortified matrix samples.
The organic compounds are eluted from the LSE cartridge with a small quantity of methylene chloride, and concentrated further by evaporation of some of the solvent. Additional QC procedures are recommended. If you have suggestions for improvement, we would enjoy hearing from you.

Rinsing apparatus replacing syringes and injection port liners as needed can minimize contamination. Precision and accuracy values were generated primarily from ea replicate analyses of fortified reagent water using a liquid-solid C extraction cartridges and a quadrapole mass spectrometer see Table 3 of the Method.

EPA Method 525.2
Organic compound analytes, internal standards, and surrogates are extracted from a water sample by passing 1 liter of sample water through a cartridge containing about 1 mefhod of a solid inorganic matrix coated with a chemically bonded Cl8 organic phase liquid-solid extraction, LSE. Organic compounds are extracted from the LSE with small quantities of ethyl acetate followed by methylene chloride with further evaporation of the solvent.
No warranty express or implied is made as to the website accuracy, completeness, or applicability such as methd age of a method and whether or not it applies to your project. Please contact us for all available analytes which can be tested by EPA Method Please contact the webmaster here. Compounds eluting from the GC column are identified by comparing their measured mass spectra and retention times to reference spectra spa retention times in a data base.
B Contamination from sample carryover: For these latter analytes 8 replicate reagent water samples were analyzed, except for PCB 6 replicates and toxaphene 7 replicatesand except for bis 2-ethylhexyl phthalate and di-n-butyl phthalate for which 7 replicates of fortified tap water 525.2 analyzed.
The method contains a large amount of additional information. The concentration of each meghod component is measured by relating the MS response of the quantitation ion produced by that compound to the MS response of the quantitation ion produced by a compound that is used as an internal standard.
A method detection limit MDL must be determined for each analyte.
Extracts can be held up to 30 days. Surrogate analytes, whose concentrations are known in every sample, are measured with the same internal standard calibration procedure.

For chlordane data, see alpha- and gamma-chlordane, and for PCBs see specific Aroclors. Reference spectra and retention times for analytes are obtained by the measurement of calibration standards under the same conditions used for samples. This method provides procedures for the determination of a wide range of organic compounds found in finished metjod water, source water, or drinking water in any treatment stage.
