All in all a fantastic film stock. As good or better than I have achieved to date. Every film photographer we know loves a bit of film stock comparison…at Canadian Film Lab we certainly do!
I usually use Portra but wanted a change of pace. Back then, the Sigma 35mm f1. For some reason these photos feel more intimate to me.
So for years, I watched from afar fuij film began to trickle into the wedding photography industry. While I would still turn to that film for dedicated portraiture, this film is an excellent all-round go to fjji adds just a little punch that is great for landscapes and general shooting while still remaining acceptable for portraiture as well. Colors are accurate and well saturated while skin tones remain pleasing, without any redness or other harshness.

I overexpose it quite a bit to reduce some of the contrast and create more pastelle colors. They all look realistic and skin tones can be of very good rendition.
Your email 400j never published or shared. I find both of those films to be a little disappointing in one way or the other, but Fuji H seems to strike a great balance – vibrant but not exaggerated, natural but not muted.
